If you had to finish the sentence “when I ask for help, I am/feel…” how would you complete it? Seeking help requires a mix of strength and vulnerability. It can drum up mixed emotions and present a challenge to even the most self-assured individual. In this mindfulness exercise, you’ll reflect on your feelings about asking for help and frame help-seeking an act of self-care. As we learn to lean on others when we need it, we learn how to actively obtain the resources we need to succeed.
